Cumin Roasted Lamb with Pumpkin Mash

Another successful Donna Hay recipe! A really simple dinner of lamb rack rubbed with sea salt, cracked pepper and cumin seeds (ground together in mortar and pestle) served with a creamy mash of pumpkin (and a little potato) seasoned with cumin and coriander and topped off with a squeeze of lemon. Really fresh, clean flavours that worked well together. Would make again. Rating 8 out of 10.

Cooking Club
This blog was created to encourage others to cook. A group of us meet every month to cook together. Our cooking club gives us the chance to share our culinary successes and disasters for the month, teach each other new techniques, talk about recipe books and enjoy each others company! Each month two members choose the menu we will be cooking which means we all end up cooking dishes we may not have tried for ourselves. We meet at the hosts house, cook the meal together and then sit down to enjoy lunch and a glass of wine. A wonderful way to get together with the girls and to be extending our skills at the same time.
Recipes
As I will be cooking mainly from well known recipe books I will not be publishing the recipes I use due to copyright laws. If you like the look of the dishes I have created you will have to purchase the cook book they have come from! What I hope to do is inspire you to try new recipes, teach you not to be afraid of experimenting and extend your cooking knowledge.
